The Originals (2013)
A spin-off from The Vampire Diaries and set in New Orleans, The Originals centers on the Mikaelson siblings, otherwise known as the world’s original vampires: Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), and Rebekah (Claire Holt). Now Klaus must take down his protégé, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), who is now in charge of New Orleans, in order to re-take his city, as he originally built New Orleans. Klaus departed from the city after being chased down by his father Mikael, while it was being constructed and Marcel took charge. As Klaus has returned after many years, his ego has provoked him to become the king of the city. “Every King needs an heir” says Klaus, accepting the unborn child. The child is a first to be born to a hybrid (part vampire, part werewolf) and a werewolf (Hayley).

The Originals First Look: Klaus and Elijah’s Flashback Face-Off and Mikael Returns With a Vengeance
The Originals makes its highly-anticipated debut on Tuesday, Oct. 3, and its bringing along one of The Vampire Diaries’ most infamous big bads: Mikael (Sebastian Roche), Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah’s (Claire Holt) formidable father. But wait, you might be asking how that’s possible considering Klaus killed his father in season two of the CW hit. Well, break out your wigs ’cause The Originals is giving us a juicy flashback in its series premiere!
We’ve got six exclusive photos from the series’ Oct. 3 debut, including Mikael torturing Klaus back in the day (with Elijah’s help!), an intense brotherly faceoff and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) serving up some fierce bitch-face!
With flashbacks playing such a major role on The Vampire Diaries, fans can expect to see even more on The Originals given the fact that Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah have clocked some thousand years. “I’ve read the first two scripts and I am just so excited. They both feature elements of flashback,” Morgan recently told us. “They’re both really on a larger scale. This is a war we’re building toward. The first episode takes place on the same timeline as the pilot, only this time we’re seeing Elijah’s point of view, so we’re seeing all the little bits we didn’t see when the pilot aired. So it’s really very exciting for me. And it has a heart-stopping ending.”
Viewers can expect to see a more adult world when the tune into the New Orleans-set series, with creator Julie Plec explaining, “[The Originals] is about the power of the family community and the power struggle over the family community and the supernatural community of an entire city. We like to look at it as, we graduated from high school and went to college and are getting our master’s degree in The Originals.”
OK, we’ll let you get back to ogling The Originals’ ridiculously attractive cast now. You’re welcome, Internet!
The Originals premieres Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. on the CW, before moving to its regularly scheduled night on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m.

Like we announce last week, Sebastian will be appear at “The Originals”!
‘The Originals’ casts ‘Vampire Diaries’ patriarch Sebastian Roche and ‘Supernatural’ shapeshifter Todd Stashwick
By Sydney Bucksbaum
The Original dad is heading to New Orleans.
“Supernatural” alum Sebastian Roche will reprise his “Vampire Diaries” role as Mikael, the patriarch of the Original family, on “The Originals,” EW reports. The character, first introduced in Season 3 of “The Vampire Diaries,” will appear in an episode early in the season. Since Klaus (Joseph Morgan) killed Mikael in “TVD” Season 3 episode 9, we assume that Roche will be portraying Mikael in flashbacks.
In other “The Originals” casting news, Roche’s fellow “Supernatural” alum Todd Stashwick is also set to recur in the new CW series (fans of “Supernatural” remember Stashwick’s turn as a Dracula-impersonating shapeshifter during Season 4′s “Monster Movie”). Stashwick will play the role of Father Kieran, first appearing in episode 4.
“Kieran is a tortured priest with a dark past,” executive producer Julie Plec says. “Once a powerful and pragmatic diplomat between the humans and the various supernatural factions in New Orleans, he returns home looking for answers about a personal tragedy but finds a very different landscape than when he left.”
“The Originals” premieres Thursday, Oct. 3, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.

So, Mikael is back! Sebastian Roché will appears in the second episode (for now) of “The Originals”!
Great news for Seb’s fans!
A short interview of Hollywood.com talks about Sebastian’s back at a mistery Tv Show.
Get ready to be overwhelmed with amazing Original news. Right on the heels of the announcement that bothDaniel Gillies and Joseph Morgan are set to star in The Vampire Diaries spinoff The Originals comes some more, equally squeal-inducing news — we might be reunited with our favorite Original patriarch, vampire-vampire-hunter Mikael. That is, if Mikael’s portrayer Sebastian Roche has any say in it.
Hollywood.com caught up with Roche at ABC’s The Makeover red carpet Tuesday night, and he was more than happy to shed some light on his possible future on the TVD spinoff. When asked if we would be seeing the Original Father in New Orleans in any flashback capacity (Klaus killed Mikael in episode 9 of Season 3 ofTVD), he wasn’t sure. “Well I don’t know yet,” Roche says. “A few of my sons have been approached, Daniel Gillies and Joseph [Morgan]. It would be wonderful, but that’s up to [executive producer] Julie Plec to decide that. Of course I would love to, being the Papa Orignal. That would be a great thing if I could even just guest star or recur.” Hear that, Plec? We want to see some Original Papa!
Roche was also a little more forthcoming about his future on another show, revealing that he is going to appear once again on a show he’s been on before. But when asked to elaborate on which one, he clammed up. “I can’t tell you which one it is,” he says. “They’re very secretive on it.” Perhaps we’ll be seeing Mikael even sooner on another flashback episode of TVD. Or could the angel Balthazar be making a return trip toSupernatural? Even though angel Castiel killed him in the Season 6 finale, death isn’t always final on this – or any – CW show.
